Hey QT!
We’re used to putting on masks in several contexts…What better time than October?
When: Oct. 3, 2025, 7:30 PM - 12 AM
Where
Kitsap ACES: 318 N. Callow Ave, Bremerton, WA
Who: This play party is intended explicitly for queer and trans members of the Kitsap ACES community and the Kitsap community at large (this is an open play party). This party is sponsored/hosted by the Kitsap ACES Queer Discussion Group, which meets every first Tuesday of every month!
What: The theme, because queers love a good theme, is Halloween LIGHT! You absolutely DO NOT need to dress up, but if you feel so inclined and your fabulousness would be better presented via costume, we are SO here for it! If you don’t feel like dressing up, PLEASE STILL COME (We’re very pro-coming)! We would rather see your beautiful face and whatever shenanigans you can get into with or without a mask. <3
This event is open to non-members, members, and guests of the Kitsap ACES Queer Discussion Group. If you are a non-member or are someone’s guest, you must arrive before 8:30 pm for orientation. No new admittance will be permitted after 11 pm.
Why: Coming to a play party is hard for some people, but it can be particularly difficult for people who either present their gender non-heteronormatively or who engage in relationships that aren’t heteronormative. Sometimes this difficulty can cause members of the queer/trans community to avoid play parties altogether. It can also be off-putting to enter into a space and only see hetero couples, which often causes queer/trans people to leave spaces altogether. This party is an attempt to mitigate that fear for those fears and discomfort.
