Workshop Description:

Rope Safety 102 - Presented by @Mizfyrebug , a Femme/Them Domme from the Kitsap Peninsula and Tacoma area

Do you want to play with rope? Do you want to be that cool, kinky bastard who can do all the cool, crazy rope things that look super-hot and fun?

Rope is an incredible medium for hot, kinky fun adventures, but it comes with a fair amount of risk to the bodies being tied up. There are so many spots that, if tied to tightly or twisted just wrong while in rope, can cause a lot of long-lasting damage, and I don’t know about you, but I would like both myself and my bottom to have fully functioning hands after a good scene.

So, what exactly DO we need to know to reduce the risk of that possibility? A good understanding of where the nerves are in the common places we tie so that we can play a little more safely while still being the kinky bastards that we are.

At this month’s Bound to Be Knotty, we will be doing a draw-along nerve mapping demonstration! Bring blue, red, and green washable markers and be ready to draw on yourself or a friend to help us learn about where the important nerves in our arms are. We will then discuss ways to limit damaging them while playing with rope.

Want to read the book I am sourcing my bright idea from? The book “Better Bondage for Every Body” has an amazing chapter on nerves. It is a great resource not for ties, but how to have a great time while being tied. I think it is a must-read for everyone using rope.
