🕚 11 am Teaching Your Kink:

If you're an experienced kinkster, interested in learning tips and techniques for sharing your kink, this is for you. We will be cover techniques for preparing a kink presentation, getting your presentation accepted at a kink event, fundamentals of adult education, fundamentals of public speaking skills, liability concerns, and the business of being a professional pervert.

"Teaching Your Kink" is a 2 hour class that gives experienced kinksters a framework for course development and covers fundamental skills needed for teaching hands-on skills in an adult education environment. More details available on Fetlife, DaddyW profile, "Teaching Your Kink Notes" under Writings.

🕐 1 pm Straight Razor Shaving

This will be a hands-on skillshare for people who want to learn how to do straight razor shaving. There will be a short instructional lecture and demo (approx. 20 min.) at the beginning of the class. The remaining class time will be spent practicing shaving either on yourself or on a partner, with instructor oversight and guidance.

Attendees will need to bring:

  • A straight razor or “shavette” (Shavettes have replaceable blades, and straight razors have solid blades.) The Magic Razor shavette (https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-care/other-products-and-accessories/shears-and-hair-shapers/straight-razors/the-magic-razor/SBS-730700.html) is an inexpensive way to get started. Razor blades are not included, but a box of 100 Derby single edge razor blades was $7.59 at Sally Beauty the last time I checked.

  • A shaving brush and shaving soap is preferred over shaving soap in an aerosol can; if you bring aerosol can shaving soap, best results can be obtained with the gel variety. Shaving brush/soap can be acquired from Art of Shaving, but they are on the expensive side. Clubman brand brushes are relatively inexpensive (around $10) and available through Amazon, and I’m partial to Colonel Conk’s shaving soap (also available on Amazon).

  • A washcloth, a hand towel, and a bath towel.

  • A medium sized metal or plastic bowl that can hold about a liter of warm water (I use a metal dog water bowl.)

  • Post-shave moisturizer.

🕒 3 pm Temporary Piercings

This will be a hands-on skillshare for temporary piercing, using the Association of Professional Piercers 2013 edition of their Procedures Manual. Class participants should have experience as a piercing bottom and/or observer of a play piercing scene. Participants will learn (and do) the following: clean and setup a "clean field" for piercing, clean the skin surface to pierce, perform a temporary piercing, remove the temporary piercing, cleanup and aftercare the piercee, cleanup the workspace and safely dispose of the waste. We will do up to a dozen piercings during the skillshare. Please bring someone that you have negotiated doing a dozen temporary piercings on their chest (or other areas), a box of nitrile gloves (Costco brand work quite well) in your size, a clean shirt to wear during the class, and medical facemasks (or N95) for yourself and the piercee, appropriate skin antiseptic (poviodine or clorhexidine aka Hibiclens) and surface disinfectant (quaternary cleaner or a 10% bleach solution, note that bleach solution must be fresh, i.e. mixed within the past 24 hours) and an unopened roll of paper towel. Participants should also plan on bringing some form of furniture to support the piercee (ideally a portable massage table) with a non-porous surface that can be disinfected with your choice of surface disinfectant. https://safepiercing.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/APP_Procedures_2013_A_Web.pdf

🕔 5 pm Junior Top, Senior Bottom: How to Make it Work

Both Tops and Bottoms are welcome, however the workshop is directed towards bottoms.

In the leather community bottoms have the numbers disadvantage; there are more bottoms than tops. There are more novice players than experienced ones - come learn how playing with a novice top can be a rewarding experience. For the novice top, everything is new and exciting and you, the bottom, get to enjoy the heady experience of being at the center of that excitement.

This workshop is written by a bottom, for bottoms, explaining how to structure and plan the experience of playing with a novice Top. How to help guide that novice Top find their inner Top and express it. It’s not ‘how to top from the bottom’, because that’s not what we want to do.

I will cover specific techniques and real world things to do to guide that novice Top, and keep them in the Top position through the entire scene. How to help mold that ego into confidence and assurance that is soooo sexy. How to communicate in a way that keeps the power balance where you want it and how to do it all while keeping the Top on top, and yourself on the bottom.
